Oakmere CC News

A belated welcome to the 2017 season at Oakmere CC.
We will be updating all sections of the website over the next few days but to start with please read our newly launched newsletter {Insert link here}. To receive the newsletters as soon as they are published contact Helen Pickering at helen.pickering777@btinternet.com .

Players / Volunteers wanted

We welcome new players (both Male & Female) to Oakmere at all levels, as we look to build up our numbers to eventually create a regular 3rd XI.
Junior players, particularly boys in the 13-15 age group and women / girls of any age are particularly welcome (watch out for our Girls Cricket initiative). We are always open for people to get involved as volunteers for the full range of the club’s activities other than actually playing cricket. Scorers, umpires, bar staff, assisting with junior training, working on the ground, web site contributors, the possibilities are endless and training will be provided where required. Particular requirements at the moment are volunteers to join the 1st XI scorers’ rota on Saturdays and helpers for the All Stars / Minis on a Friday night.

Shirt Sponsor wantedSponsor

After 3 years sponsorship by Stone Management Group, for which we are extremely grateful, we are looking for a new main sponsor. If you would like to be involved with our club, please contact Peter Powell, Mike Cushion or Dan Faulkner for more details.

About Us
We run 2 Senior Men’s teams in the Cheshire Cricket League, a Ladies team in the Cheshire Women’s Cricket League, junior sides from Under 11 to Under 15 and a midweek T20 side comprising mostly Under 21 players.
We are also taking part in the ECB ‘All Stars’ programme for younger children aged 5 to 8 alongside our existing ‘Minis’ programme.
Oakmere are a very well organised, friendly and supportive club, recognised by the ECB Clubmark award. Qualified Coaches provide structured training sessions across all groups.
Our facilities have been rated “the best in the League” in the League’s Annual Grounds Survey.
If you are interested in playing cricket at Oakmere, we would more than welcome you to come down to one of our training sessions, please contact secretary@oakmerecc.co.uk for more details.
